Biography
Eduard Ayguadé is full professor of the Computer Architecture Department at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and associate director for research on Computer Sciences at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), Spain. He received the Engineering degree in Telecommunications in 1986 and the Ph.D. degree in Computer Science in 1989, both from UPC. Since 1987 he has been lecturing on computer organization and architecture and parallel programming. Currently His research interests cover the areas of multicore architectures and vector accelerators, and programming models and compilers for high-performance architectures. He has published around 400 publications in these topics and participated in several research projects with other universities and industries, in framework of the European Union programs or in direct collaboration with technology leading companies.
