  Project\n\nde la Puente\n\nPhysics-based simulations of earthquakes can b
 e very precise at outlining the shaking produced by an earthquake with hig
 h spatial resolution. Such simulations take into account aspects such as d
 irectivity, topography or basin resonance which can crucially alter the af
 fectation of an event. Within ChEESE we have developed an urgent computing
  workflow that can connect to some of the most powerful 3D seismic simulat
 ion packages in order to produce shake estimates within hours to minutes o
 nce the event has been registered. ChEESE is the EU's Center of Excellence
